Letter from the Chaplain: Father Ian Hutchinson Cervantes Welcome everyone to Saint Georges,

We feel privileged and blessed to welcome Christians of all denominations, and over a dozen nationalities every week to encounter and worship God in word and sacrament, and experience something of what it means to be God’s reconciled people in our fellowship. If you are planning to visit or settle in Madrid, we would love to welcome you too. In addition to our Sunday and weekday services, St. George’s hosts a number of activities in the course of the week.Among these are self-help groups (AA, Weight Watchers, etc) and two excellent Mother and Toddler Groups.Some of these groups offer a helpful means of meeting and getting to know others, an essential feature of finding one’s feet in a new and strange land and culture.Do click on to “Other Activities” to see what groups meet here and when.

Families are an important part of our ministry for we believe at St. George’s that our children are fellow citizens of the Kingdom and as such have much to contribute and enrich our common life together. We have recently introduced the Godly Play model to our Sunday school programme and it has become a source of rich blessing to all of us.We hope that if you have a family that you will find St. George’s a warm, welcoming and nurturing space for all of God’s children!

As a Christian community we aim to consecrate ordinary everyday life to God’s service and praise. Despite the fact that we are geographically scattered over a very wide area, we hold two mid-week services.These are quiet and reflective moments in the middle of busy lives in a bustling city.If you cherish or need moments and space for contemplation and silence please know that you may find these at St. George’s.
